According to their website, “LOVE RIDE has grown into the largest one-day motorcycle fundraising event in the world. A place where people come to have a good time, while making a difference in the world we live in.”
The ride was founded by Glendale Harley owner, Oliver Shokouh, as a way to raise money for local charities including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Special Olympics of Southern California.
The first ride was held on November 11, 1984, with over 500 attendees, which started a tradition that has grown over the decades and has raised many millions of dollars for charity.
